How the desk draws a tactical board
A tactical board is anchor, read, schema. The desk reads three artefacts per board: the anchor (broadcaster overlay), the read (editor's interpretation), the schema (the desk's editorial composite).
Anchor
Reproduce the broadcaster overlay's per-round positioning. Where the overlay omits a position, mark the read as Tier-C.
Read
The desk's interpretation of the anchor — published as Tier-C editorial with a corrections log.
Schema
The desk's editorial composite across the board — published as Tier-C composite.
Cross-stamp
Anchor and read are cross-stamped against the publisher's own positioning feed.
Editor's stamp

How a tactical board reads across a season
A tactical-board read is a season artefact, not a single match. Below is the desk's working method for a tactical-board column run.
Anchor — week one
The desk reproduces the broadcaster overlay from the first weekend of post-patch play. The overlay captures per-round positioning for every team across the bracket. Where the overlay omits a position, the desk marks the read as Tier-C.
Anchor — week two
The desk reproduces the broadcaster overlay from the second weekend of post-patch play. The overlay builds on week one; the desk cross-stamps the two weekends against the publisher's own positioning feed.
Read — week three
The desk publishes the editor's read across the two-weekend anchor. The read is published as Tier-C with a corrections log.
Schema — week four
The desk publishes the editorial composite — the season's full tactical-board read across all in-flight tournaments.
What the desk does not publish for a tactical-board read
The desk does not publish private coach notes on positioning. The publisher's published commentary is re-printed.
The desk does not publish leaked overlay positions. The broadcaster's published overlay is the only source.
